Hon Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide

Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, representing Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West federal constituency of Oyo State in the House of Representatives, has extended warm greetings to Muslims and Christians as they embark on their respective fasting periods today.

He described the coincidence of Ramadan and Lent as a powerful reminder of Nigeria’s shared values of faith, discipline, and compassion.

Olajide, fondly called Odidiomo, urged Nigerians to use the opportunity to strengthen unity and promote peaceful co-existence, tolerance, and love.

“Both Ramadan and Lent teach the values of sacrifice, humility, forgiveness, and love for humanity. These are virtues our nation urgently requires at this critical time in our history,” Olajide stated.

The lawmaker, in a statement on Wednesday, encouraged religious leaders to promote unity and tolerance, and for Nigerians to extend kindness to the vulnerable.

“Through prayer, discipline, and compassion, we can build a more harmonious and progressive society,” he said.

Olajide wished Muslims and Christians a blessed Ramadan and Lent.
