Engr. Muftau Open Salawu’s arrival to his ward

Engineer Muftau Open Salawu, the Deputy Governorship candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) in the 2027 Oyo State governorship election, has stepped up his engagement with party members and supporters in Ogbomoso.

He was received by a large crowd of supporters amid pomp and pageantry.

Ahead of his trip to Ogbomoso, he visited the Golf Club, Ibadan, the state capital, where he displayed impressive skills on the golf course. He successfully got the ball into the hole in just two strokes.

The performance added a sporting dimension to his outing before he proceeded to his ward in Ogbomoso, where he interacted with party members and supporters as part of his grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking on leadership, the APM deputy governorship candidate said effective leadership required vision, courage, integrity and empathy.

He said leaders must not only envision the future but also take decisive action, empower others and create opportunities for people to develop their potential.

“Leadership means seeing the future, acting with courage and integrity, and leading with empathy. It’s about taking action, lifting others up, and giving people responsibility so they can grow,” Open Salawu said.

He reaffirmed his commitment to the APM and its political agenda ahead of the 2027 elections.

Open Salawu listed the party’s proposed political team as Seyi Makinde for President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bimbo Adekanmbi for Governor of Oyo State and himself as Deputy Governor.

As gathered, his engagements in Ogbomoso formed part of his continued interaction with party members at the grassroots as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 elections.
